Foods to prevent depression

Depression is a BIG problem globally!

In the 15 – 44 year age group depression and other mental challenges are the major cause of disability. Can you believe it?

So researchers investigated the best foods from which to get the top 12 nutrients that our brains need to function well. Want to know what those foods are?

Here’s the list:

  1. Oysters
  2. Mussels
  3. Wild-caught Alaskan salmon, herrings, anchovies and sardines
  4. Organ meats – from pasture fed animals. This is stuff like livers, kidneys, hearts, brains, and intestines!
  5. Leafy greens
  6. Peppers
  7. Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, kale – the pungent sorts.

    As I read the list my immediate reaction is to roll my eyes a bit and say ‘Yeh, right!’

    And then I relax a whole lot because I’ve got my bases covered. With the real stuff but without having to eat food that I can’t stomach.
